Tasting- Fortediga Vermentino

Name: Fortediga Vermentino
Variety: 100% Vermentino
Region: Maremma, Tuscany
Country: Italy
Year: 2010
Price: $9.95

Winery Review: Clear yellow in color. The aromas are lifted with pleasant hits of pear and green apple. The fresh, smooth flavors on the entry persist, the structure is fine and balances well with the fruit.

My Review: I found this wine to be decent, but not my favorite. It was pretty dry and when I first sniffed it, I detected a floral aroma. After tasting it, I tasted a hint of citrus and again some floral notes. The aftertaste was somewhat strange, and I found it to be unpleasant. I would probably not drink this wine again.

I tasted this wine on its own without food.
